While large research companies are investing time and money to achieve a 1% increase in energy efficiency, combining two existing sustainable solutions is a no brainer!
Some benefits green roofs provide include reduction of storm water runoff, reduction of heat island effect, increased biodiversity, while sequestering CO2 and creating fresh oxygen! Not to mention, they look beautiful and are a form of biophilia!

A team of Dutch students designed the world’s first solar powered mobile home, capable of traveling 454 miles in one day! Please see the link here for greater details and more pictures! The camper has a large solar array on the roof that extends vertically to allow for greater headroom when parked, a kitchen, sleeping area, bathroom, and cockpit. When parked it is an efficient 188 sq ft of space.

Large Solar Farm in Ahrensfelde, GermanySolar farms are in focus within Think Greener’s sustainable spotlight! So, what is a solar farm? They cover a large area of land typically in a rural setting and the solar panels are ground mounted, different than rooftop solar. The largest of the solar farms typically provide power to utilities rather than local grids and can range from 10MW to more than 200MW. It’s estimated that 25 acers of land will produce 5 MW, enough power needed for 1,500 houses.

A consistent theme within my blogs relates to identifying new solutions helping to reverse the impacts of climate change and encouraging everyday people, communities, cities, and governments to change their old ways and adopt renewable and regenerative practices.
